Celebrating a Season of Gratitude with a Thanksgiving Cash Giveaway

 

Giving thanks… so easy to remember to do around Thanksgiving time.  But do we really remember to have an attitude of gratitude throughout the year? Of course, for me, I don’t have to look very far and I see so many things that I have to be grateful for: of course, my family, husband, children, my home, food in the pantry, nice clothes… And then there are the things that are a bit less obvious, but I am grateful for the country that I live in, the freedoms that we have, the ability to speak our minds and worship freely…

Here are 10 ways to celebrate thankfulness throughout the year by giving back to others:

1. Volunteer at a soup kitchen
2. Help out at your child’s school
3. Donate to your local food bank
4. Gather gently used clothing and donate to Goodwill or People to People Ministries
5. Take cookies to a local shut-in
6. Visit a nursing home
7. Rake leaves for an elderly neighbor
8. Invite a neighbor to church
9. Give to Toys for Tots this Christmas
10. Put together a shoebox gift for Operation Christmas Child
