Do you ever look at all of the beautiful DIY Christmas crafts on Pinterest and think to yourself, “there’s no way that I could ever do that!” Well, these Christmas ornaments are not only beautiful and sparkly on the tree, but they are quick and super-easy to make! You can literally make these homemade Christmas Tree ornaments in less than 5 minutes! But I promise that no one will know, because they are so pretty it will look like you spent hours on them… it will just be our little secret…
And because these ornaments are so easy to make, they are perfect for your kids to help make. Did I mention that all of the paint, glue, and glitter go inside the ornament?? So no worrying about letting the paint dry or having glitter fall off.
No mess, quick, easy… and last, but certainly not least, these ornaments are actually plastic (not glass!) so you don’t have to worry about your little ones or pets making them fall off the tree and break.
4 Ornaments in 5 Minutes:
Once you have all of your supplies, it will take almost no time to put them together!
Mixed Paint Ornament
- Take the top off the ornament
- Choose 3 colors of paint, carefully pour inside ornament
- Put the top back on
- Swirl paint around until inside of ornament is fully covered
Tip: Turn ornament occasionally until all the paint is dry inside to prevent paint from pooling in one area, but don’t shake… or else all the colors will mix too much and you will get a grayish-brown color.
Gift Wrap and Sparkle Ornament
- Take the top off the ornament
- Fill with gift basket filler, pieces of tinsel, pom-poms, sequins, etc… just make sure that you have some “fluffy” items in there so keep the contents looking full…. all sequins will just rest at the bottom.
- Put the top back on
Tip: This is probably the easiest (and least messy!) one for small children to make, but they will look so pretty and festive!
Glitter Ornament
- Take the top off the ornament
- Carefully pour clear glue inside ornament
- Swirl around until the glue evenly coats the inside
- Pour glitter in the ornament
- Put the top back on
- Shake around to help evenly spread out the glitter
Tip: Make sure not to pour too much glue in, just use enough to coat the inside.
Snowball Ornament
- Take the top off the ornament
- Carefully pour clear glue inside ornament
- Swirl around until the glue evenly coats the inside
- Pour iridescent snow flake sprinkles into ornament
- Put the top back on
- Shake around to help evenly spread out the snow flakes
