Most of these resources are free throughout the year! Check out these math problem solver websites and smartphone apps to help your student with their math homework.

**Websites that answer math problems (all ages)**

These websites offer a range of math resources for preschoolers through high school and college ages:

**Math.com**

Whether you are needing to help your kids with their math homework, or in need of a mortgage calculator, Math.com offers math resources for elementary students through adult—practice, tutoring, games, and math calculators and tools.

**Illuminations **

Illuminations is a website developed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). This website offers several lessons and games that are aligned with math standards for pre-k through grade 12.

**IXL**

The math resources on IXL range from pre-k to calculus. But this website is great for more than math as well! Your student also has access to lessons for Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Spanish.

**Khan Academy**

Khan Academy provides free learning for all ages in math, science, economics, finance, computing, engineering, art, and even test prep.

**Math websites for kids (pre-k—8)**

These websites have math lessons designed especially for younger math learners, mostly elementary ages:

**Cool Math 4 Kids**

Need math lessons for your elementary student? Cool Math 4 Kids has games for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.

**Prodigy**

Prodigy offers free math games for grades 1-8.

**SumDog**

SumDog offers Math, Spelling, and Grammar practice and games for students K-8.

**Cliff Notes**

Cliff Notes is a website that is good for middle school and high school math, but it also has study guides for subjects such History, Writing, Languages, Science, Accounting and more.

**Art of Problem Solving**

Art of Problem Solving is a great resource for pre-algebra, algebra, and counting and probability. What I love the most about this website is that whichever math lesson you click on, there is a video explanation to go with it. So it is very helpful for the step-by-step process of problem solving. There are also some great resources here for math competition teams as well!

**HotMath**

HotMath is geared toward high school and college students.

**MathWarehouse**

Looking for help with high school math? MathWarehouse has videos and examples for Algebra, Geometry, Trigonomtry, and Calculus.

**Brainpop**

Brainpop is giving everyone FREE access during school closures! Great access to algebra, geometry and other middle school and high school math. There are also tabs for science, social studies, English, health, engineering and tech.
